Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Goodlucks Productions LLC ("we", "us") collects when you visit goodlucksproductions.com or play our games, and how we use it.
The short version
You never have to give us your name or email to play. The first time you play, the game creates an anonymous player account so your coins, purchases and rank are kept safe. You can choose to sign in so you can get that account back on another device. We don't sell personal information.
Information we collect
- Your player account. A random account ID and key, created automatically. With it we store your coin balance, the items you own, your rank points, and your wins and losses in online matches. You can see your account code in the game's Settings.
- Optional sign-in. If you choose to sign in (with an emailed code, Google, Apple, Game Center or Google Play Games), the sign-in service tells us an ID for you, and for email, Google and Apple usually your email address. We use it only to find your player account when you sign in again. We store a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of that ID and email, not the readable address, plus a shortened version such as "p•••@example.com" so the game can show which login you used. Sign-in codes are emailed through our email provider, Resend. We never send marketing email.
- Reports and blocks. If you report another player, we keep the report (your player ID, theirs, the reason and the match) so we can review it. A name reported by several players is hidden. Blocks are stored only on your device.
- Your callsign. The name you choose in the game is shown to opponents in online matches and on public leaderboards. Don't use your real name if you'd rather not.
- Online matches. To run a match, our server passes moves and short preset messages (emotes) between the two players. We don't keep a record of the moves after the match.
- Purchases. Payments on our website are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us the payment went through, what was bought and which player account to credit. Stripe's privacy policy covers the payment details you give them.
- Game settings on your device. Preferences such as sound and your Quick Play choice are saved in your browser's local storage.
- Basic server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records technical details such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your email address and message so we can reply.
Advertising
Our games never show an ad unless you choose to watch one, for example to double your daily coin bonus. Our web games don't show any ads yet. Before we add optional ads, we will update this policy to name the ad partner and explain what data it collects and the choices you have.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can delete your player account and everything stored with it in the game (Settings > Your account > Delete my account) or at goodlucksproductions.com/warflip/delete-account. You can clear saved settings on a device by clearing your browser's site data. You can ask us to delete any email correspondence by writing to us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
